An Urban Design Collaboration
The aim of this team project (alongside colleague-Saizwin Kadiwala) is to provide aesthetic solutions for the prevailing issues of Yamacraw and in turn, design a variant for the Yamacraw district based on the 21st Century lifestyle and the existing principles of Savannah’s Urban Fabric.

Yamacraw’s current crime rate calls for the need for activity within the area in terms of commercial, recreational and cultural to support the residents of Yamacraw. This would thrive to add livelihood to the community, thereby making it safer.
The aim was to extend Savannah’s tourist population into Yamacraw through public attractions like art centers, museums and recreation spots within the stretch of a public park, synonymous with Savannah’s successful Forsyth Park.
